  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 unbeaten eggs
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. coconut
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

    Cut butter into flour and sugar until particles are fine in texture.

    Press into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

    Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes until set but not brown.

    Combine eggs, brown sugar, coconut, pecans and vanilla extract.

    Mix well and spread on partially baked dough.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes being careful not to overcook.

    Frost immediately.

    Cool and cut into bars.
