- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks oleo or butter
- grated rind and juice of 2 lemons
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 lemon juice and rind
Directions

1Blend the first 3 ingredients.

2Mix in lemon juice and rind. Stir in dry ingredients along with milk.

3Fold in nuts.

4Divide between 2 greased loaf pans.

5Bake at 350° for 60 minutes or until done.

6Turn out onto wire racks.

7Mix topping sugar and lemon rind and juice.

8Pour over hot bread.

9Great for the holidays or any special time.

10Can make ahead and freeze.
