Lemon Cream Braised Cabbage

  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1 each shallots finely minced
  • 1/2 each lemon juiced
  • 1 pound cabbage finely sliced or roughly shredded lengthwise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 x black pepper plus salt to taste

Directions

    Heat a saucier pot or largish skillet over medium heat.

    Add the shallot, lemon juice and cream.

    Once heated add the cabbage and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

    Mix to coat.

    Cover and simmer for about 9 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Taste and adjust seasonings with salt and pepper.
