- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- rind of 1 lemon
- salt
- 1/2 c. nuts
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/3 c. sugar
Directions

1Beat all together; add nuts and rind.

2Use long narrow loaf pan; line pan with waxed paper.

3Bake for 1 hour at 300°.

4Cool slightly for 5 or 10 minutes.

5Pour over while in pan, 1/3 cup sugar mixed with juice of 1 lemon.

6If regular bread pan is used, bake at 300° for 3/4 hour and 10 or 15 minutes at 350°.
