  • 2 cups basil leaves Packed, 1/4 Lb. Basil
  • 2 ounces garlic cloves Peeled, Chopped, About 12
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon pine nuts
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Directions

    In a food processor or blender, combine the basil, garlic, olive oil, pine nuts, lemon zest and lemon juice.

    Process for about 5 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl 2 or 3 times, until the pesto is creamy.
