  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Mix flour, sugar and add boiling water; stir while mixing. Beat egg yolks.

    Add 2 tablespoons egg yolks to mixture, then add all together.

    Let cook until thick.

    Add lemon juice and batter. Top with egg whites and cook at 350° until meringue is brown. Makes 1 large pie.
