- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 3 c. water
- 2 lemons (4 Tbsp. juice)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Sift together sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt.

2In saucepan, add sifted mixture with egg yolks (save whites in small bowl), water, lemon juice and butter.

3Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.

4(If color isn't yellow enough, add 1 to 2 drops yellow food coloring.) Cool slightly; pour into baked pie shell.
