Lemon Pound Cake

- 1 lb. butter
- 6 eggs, beaten well
- 3 oz. lemon extract (pure; use all)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 box white or dark raisins
- 4 c. chopped pecans
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 c. plain flour (I use self-rising)
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 small bottle cherries, drained
Directions

1Mix all this well and set oven at 300° for about 2 hours. Bake in angel food cake pan (10-inch pan).
