  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 1/3 c. Crisco
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 to 3 tsp. lemon flavoring

    Cream sugar and Crisco together; add eggs 1 at a time, beating well.

    Add flour and milk alternating, start and end with flour. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
