  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 large lemons
  • 2 c. milk
  • beaten egg whites (added last)

    In large bowl, cream the sugar and butter together.

    Beat well.

    Add flour and the 4 egg yolks and beat well.

    Add grated rind and juice of the lemons added to the sugar and flour mixture and beat; add the milk and mix.

    Last, beat the egg

    whites and fold into the lemon mixture.

    Pour into two unbaked pie pastry and bake at 375°.

    Makes 2 pies.
