- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Cream butter and 1 cup sugar.

2Add eggs, then dry ingredients alternately with milk.

3Grease and line a loaf pan with paper. Pour in batter and bake at 375° for about 50 minutes.

4When done, spread immediately with mixture of lemon juice and 1/2 cup sugar. Cool before slicing.
