- 14 ounces sweetened flaked coconut
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 34 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest, grated
- 14 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4 large egg whites
Directions

1Heat oven to 325.

2Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

3In a large bowl, combine the coconut, almonds, sugar, lemon zest and salt.

4Stir in the egg whites.

5Drop mounds of the mixture (2 T. each) onto the prepared baking sheets.

6Bake, switching the sheets halfway through, until the edges begin to brown, 20-25 minutes.

7Transfer to cooling racks to cool completely.
