- 1 c. dried lentils
- 1/2 c. brown rice
- 3 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 c. whole wheat bread crumbs (slices)
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt or seed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine lentils, salt, water and rice; bring to boil.

2Lower heat.

3Cover, then simmer until tender, about 35 minutes.

4Remove; let stand 10 minutes.

5Wash with water.

6Stir in bread crumbs, wheat germ, onion, celery seed, etc.

7Shape into patties; roll in the wheat germ.

8Fry slowly in well-oiled pan for 10 minutes. These are delicious.
