- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 finely chopped onion medium
- 3 carrots in one inch chunks
- 3 celery one inch chunks
- 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 pound lentils
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 5 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoons paprikah
- 1 teaspoons oregano
- 2 bay leaves
Directions

1Cook onions, celery, garlic , and carrots 6 min. or until softened

2Stir in lentils and liquids and spices and cook for 30-45 minutes.

3Puree some of the soup with immersion blender to thicken if desired.
