Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 stalks chopped celery
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 2 to 4 oz. olive oil
- 6 carrots, sliced
- 1 lb. bag Goya lentils
- 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
- garlic powder to taste
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Soak lentils in large bowl overnight.

2Cover with water to soak.

3In large pot, saute onion, celery, and carrots in oil.

4Add soaked lentils in water, tomatoes, seasonings and sugar.

5Cook until lentils soften.

6Add water if too thick.
