Ingredients
- 1 c. lentils
- 1/4 c. rice
- 6 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- pepper
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1/4 c. butter or oil
- 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Directions

1Boil lentils and rice in water.

2When starts boiling, reduce heat.

3Cover and let cook for 1 1/2 hours.

4Then blend in blender; return to heat.

5Add salt, pepper and cumin.

6Fry onion in oil separate, until golden brown, then add to lentil.

7Cook for 10 minutes together.

8Garnish with parsley.

9Eat it warm.

10Makes enough for 4 people.
