  • 7/8 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Directions

    Place the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir lightly to combine.

    Place the wet ingredients in another bowl and stir them well.

    Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix completely. The person I got this recipe from 50 years ago said to mix them well-no lumps. So, I do and they turn out great.

    Drop by spoonfuls on a hot griddle, flipping when the first side is covered with bubbles. Let them cook about a minute on the second side.

    Serve while hot with butter and warm maple syrup.
