- 1 qt. lukewarm water
- 1 cake or pkg. yeast
- 1 c. melted lard
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. mashed potatoes (just potatoes, no seasoning)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1 cup of the quart of warm water.

2Add all the other ingredients and enough flour to work dough easy; let rise.

3Work down good each time you take off rolls.

4Keep extra batter in refrigerator.

5Roll out like biscuits, about 1/2 inch thick.

6Cut with biscuit cutter, place in greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan.

7Brush tops with melted butter; let rise.

8Bake in 400° oven until light brown.
