  • 3 eggs, separated (use whites for meringue)
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 3 scant Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 stick oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 pie shell, baked
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Mix egg yolks and sugar; add cocoa and flour, and mix well. Gradually add milk; mix thoroughly.

    Add butter and vanilla.

    Cook until thick.

    Pour into cooled pie shell and top with meringue. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes or until meringue is golden.
