Lima Bean Casserole

  • 2 pkg. frozen lima beans
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. bean sprouts
  • 1 c. sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. mushroom soup
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • bread crumbs

Directions

    Fry onions and celery in butter.

    Cook limas until tender and drain.

    Put all other ingredients with limas.

    Put mixture in buttered casserole dish.

    Top with buttered crumbs and bake until crumbs are brown.

    Use the butter in which the onions and celery were cooked to butter the bread crumbs.

    Use liquid from cooked beans to thin the soup a little.
