Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts (whole in water)
  • 12 lb bacon (sliced)
  • 14 cup mayonnaise
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 14 cup chili sauce (Heinz)
  • 60 wooden toothpicks (they are going into the oven)

Directions

    Drain and rinse water chestnuts.

    Dry water chestnuts on paper towel.

    Cut water chestnuts in half.

    Cut bacon strips into thirds.

    Wrap water chestnut piece in a cut bacon strip.

    Insert wooden toothpick thru bacon wrapped water chestnut; place in glass baking dish.

    Sauce:.

    In a dish, mix brown sugar, mayo and chili sauce, together until smooth.

    Pour mixed ingredients over bacon wrapped water chestnuts.

    Bake @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
