- 1 cup margarine, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups sifted self rising flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups quick oatmeal
- 2 cups Rice Krispies
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F.

2Cream the shortening and both kinds of sugar together, beating until light and fluffy.

3Add the eggs and beat well.

4Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda.

5Add to the wet ingredients.

6Add in the oatmeal, rice krispies, coconut, and chocolate chips.

7Mix well.

8The batter should be stiff.

9Roll the dough into small balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.

10Flatten with a fork, leaving 1 inch in between the cookies.

11Bake for about 12 minutes.
