- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. shortening
Directions

1Mix yeast in 1 cup warm water.

2Add sugar, then other ingredients, including remainder of water, alternating between liquid and dry ingredients.

3Makes a firm dough.

4Let rise 1 hour or more.

5Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 450°.
