- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. Karo light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/2 tsp. peppermint, spearmint, lemon or orange extract
- food color
Directions

1Place 42 lollipop sticks, 4-inches apart, on greased sheets or foil.

2In heavy 2-quart saucepan, stir together the first three ingredients.

3Stir constantly over medium heat until mixture boils.

4Continue cooking without stirring until small amounts of mixture are dropped into very cold water and becomes hard brittle threads.

5Cool slightly.

6Stir in flavor and food color just enough to mix.

7Drop candy mixture from tip of teaspoon over one end of each stick to form 2-inch circle.

8(If mixture hardens before all lollipops are made, stir over low heat just until mixture is melted.)

9Makes 42 lollipops.
