  • 2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 20 Ritz crackers
  • butter, softened
  • nutmeg
  • unbaked pie crust for 2 crust pie

Directions

    Boil water, sugar and cream of tartar for 5 minutes.

    While boiling, add one at a time, 20 Ritz crackers.

    Do not stir; pour into an unbaked pie crust.

    Sprinkle with nutmeg and dot with butter; cover with top crust.

    Bake at 425° approximately 25 minutes.
