  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green pepper
  • 1 small can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 small carton small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 (16 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • salt to taste

Directions

    Cook noodles as directed on package.

    Brown ground beef with onion, green pepper, mushrooms and salt to taste.

    Drain; add tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce mix.

    Heat to thoroughly mix. Place 4 cooked noodles in bottom of 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.

    Layer half of ground beef mixture, all cottage cheese and 1 package Mozzarella cheese.

    Repeat with remaining 4 noodles and rest of meat mixture.

    Top with packages of Mozzarella and Cheddar cheeses.

    Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Let set at least 15 minutes before serving.
