Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 clove of garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 lb box of elbow macaroni

Directions

    In a 4 quart pot cook ground beef till brown, then drain and add back to the pot

    Add olive oil and onion.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Cook until soft and translucent

    Add garlic and oregano cook for 1 to 2 min

    Add the can of diced tomatoes and crushed tomatoes

    Cook elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente.

    Drain and add to the sauce.

    Cook for 1 to 2 min.

    Then add fresh chopped basil and parsley

    Garnish with grated parmesan cheese and a drizzle of olive oil.
