Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Longhorn cheese
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. box large macaroni
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk

    Cook macaroni until tender, drain.

    Make sauce:

    Melt butter in saucepan over low heat.

    Blend in flour, salt and dash of pepper. Add milk all at once.

    Cook quickly, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles.

    Add grated Cheddar cheese until it melts in the white sauce (I use my microwave).

    Stir sauce into the drained macaroni.

    Layer macaroni in baking dish with Longhorn cheese slices.

    End up with cheese on top.

    Add a little bit of milk over the cheese (small amount).

    Cook 45 minutes in oven at 350°.
