- 2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- pinch of salt

Directions

1Scald milk in a double boiler.

2Mix sugar, cornstarch and egg yolks with 3 tablespoons of milk.

3Add to scalded milk.

4Cook until thickens; then fold in beaten egg whites and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

5Add whole or broken macaroons.
