Macaroon Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. oatmeal
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 large container Cool Whip
  • 3 bananas
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients and add egg, margarine and vanilla.

    Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan and bake this mixture 30 minutes at 350° or until light golden brown.

    Don't overbake.

    Cool and crumble. In large glass bowl layer Cool Whip, bananas, crumbs and nuts; end with Cool Whip.

    Be sure top layer covers bananas so they won't turn brown.

    Sprinkle a few crumbs on top and refrigerate 4 hours. Good!
