  • 1 cup flour
  • 23 cup sugar
  • 12 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup boiling water

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325F Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.

    Combine the flour, sugar, pecan (optional), cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl and mix well.

    Stir in milk and vegetable pol.

    Spread in prepared baking dish.

    In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cocoa powder, mix well.

    Sprinkle the brown sugar/cocoa mixture evenly on top of batter in baking dish.

    Pour boiling water on top of the brown sugar mixture.

    Bake until set, about 25 minutes.
