- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco (solid)
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/8 c. milk
- 3 c. cake flour, sifted
- 1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Cream butter, Crisco and sugar.

2Add eggs one at a time, then flavoring to flour.

3Add cocoa and salt.

4Add the flour mixture gradually, alternately with milk.

5Pour batter into tube cake pan (which has been greased and dusted with flour).

6Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
