  • 3 lb. meat (moose)
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. curry powder
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 large cans chopped tomatoes
  • 2 fresh green chillies, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. mint (dry)
  • 1 tsp. garam masala

Directions

    Cut meat in 1/2 to 1-inch pieces (drain well).

    In a big, heavy pot, put in oil and gently fry garlic, ginger and onions until soft and golden.

    Add curry powder, salt and vinegar; mix well.

    Then add diced meat and coat well with spices.

    Add tomatoes, chillies and mint.

    Cook until meat is tender.

    Add garam marsala and cook 5 minutes longer.

    Serve with rice.
