Ingredients

  • 1/2 chopped ripe mango
  • 1 cup low-fat plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup freshly-squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons Spiced Simple Syrup, recipe follows
  • Pinch fine salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 green cardamom pods, cracked
  • 2 allspice berries
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 whole clove

    Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth.

    Refrigerate until ready to serve.

    Put all the ingredients in a small sauce pan, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

    When sugar is dissolved, remove from heat.

    Cool, strain, and refrigerate.
