Mango & Peach Pie Recipe

  • 1 c. unbleached flour
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tbsp. ice water
  • 1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil or possibly vegetable oil

    Prepare Crust: Combine flours and salt.

    Slowly add in oil and ice water, blending with a fork till a ball is formed.

    Roll out and slip into pie plate.

    peaches 2 tbsp.

    almond flavoring 3/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 tbsp.

    flour 1 teaspoon lemon juice

    Combine mangos, peaches all sliced, with almond flavoring, sugar, nutmeg, lemon juice, cinnamon and flour.

    Pour into uncooked pie crust.

    Dot with butter and bake at 425 degrees for 45 min.

    Top with a dollop of whipped cream or possibly vanilla ice lowfat milk.
