  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 12 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 18 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 14 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 (7 1/2 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated

    Cook manicotti as directed on package.

    Rinse with cold water; drain.

    Combine cottage cheese, eggs and Parmesan cheese, stirring well.

    Add parsley, salt, pepper and onion.

    Using teaspoon, stuff shells with mixture.

    Heat oil in frying pan, add beef, onions, garlic and salt.

    Scramble fry until brown.

    Remove from heat; stir in tomato sauce.

    Pour half the meat sauce into 9x12 - inch pan.

    Arrange manicotti over top.

    Spoon second half of meat sauce over shells.
