Maple Cake with Potato

  • 1 net weight 300 grams Potatoes
  • 80 grams Cake flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 50 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1 Powdered sugar (if you like)

    Peel the potatoes, and microwave for about 6 minutes at 500-600 W, then mash them well.

    Preheat the oven for 170C.

    While Step 1 is warm, add the butter and granulated sugar in that order.

    Melt and mix them well each time.

    Add the beaten egg, maple syrup, and milk, and mix well.

    Combine the cake flour and baking powder, and sift them into the bowl.

    Mix with a spatula.

    Pour the batter into the cake pan lined with parchment paper.

    Bake in the oven preheated to 170C for about 40 minutes.

    When baked, let it cool, then remove from the pan.

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar if you like.

    Cut into pieces, and serve on a plate.
