- 2 c. maple syrup
- 2 tsp. butter or butter substitute
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Boil syrup and salt to soft ball stage (234° to 238°).

2Remove from heat.

3Cool to room temperature.

4Add butter.

5Add flavoring. Beat until creamy.

6Add 1/2 the nuts.

7Continue beating until mixture is sufficiently firm to mold into small balls.

8Roll balls in remainder of nuts.

9Place on waxed paper to harden.
