  • 3 tbsp. pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. miso paste
  • 2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. lower-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. fresh ginger
  • 8 oz. French green beans (haricots verts) or regular green beans
  • 10 oz. frozen peas
  • 1 1/4 lb. boneless and skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 c. fresh cilantro leaves

    In 1-quart saucepan, whisk maple syrup, miso, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, and ginger; heat to boiling on medium-high.

    Boil 1 minute or until reduced by half, whisking.

    Remove from heat; stir in 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

    Cool slightly.

    Transfer 2 tablespoons to small bowl for brushing chicken.

    Place beans and 3 tablespoons water in 2-quart glass baking dish; cover with vented plastic wrap.
