  • 1 1/2 c. maple syrup
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 c. milk

Directions

    Mix the syrup with the water.

    Bring to a boil.

    Mix the dry ingredients and cut in the fat (as in making pie dough).

    Add the milk and mix.

    Drop by teaspoons in the hot syrup. Cover and boil slowly, without lifting the cover, for 15 minutes.
