- 1 c. flour
- 6 Tbsp. margarine, softened
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 1/4 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. maple extract
- 1 egg
Directions

1Knead together the first 3 ingredients until well blended; divide into 16 pieces.

2Press onto bottom and sides of tassie pans. Sprinkle walnuts in bottom of lined pans.

3Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in saucepan; remove from heat.

4Stir the corn syrup, extract and egg into melted butter.

5Spoon syrup mixture on top.

6Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

7Makes approximately 16.
