Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 7 Tbsp. butter
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. maple syrup
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1Mix flour with brown sugar, baking powder, salt, soda and ginger.

2Cut butter into flour mixture in small particles.

3Add egg, buttermilk and maple syrup.

4Stir just until mixed.

5Stir in walnuts and raisins.

6Drop batter by heaping tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheet 2 inches apart, making 10 mounds. Bake at 425° for 12 to 13 minutes.

7Serve warm.
