- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 c. flour (plain)
- 1 pack active dry yeast
- 1/3 c. softened butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. maple syrup
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. warm water

Directions

1To prepare pan, melt 1/4 cup butter in pan; add brown sugar and 1/4 cup maple syrup.

2Heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.

3Pour into pan and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the walnuts.

4In mixing bowl, stir together 3/4 cup of flour, yeast, white sugar and salt.

5Add 1/3 cup butter and warm water.

6Beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally.

7Add eggs and 1/4 cup more flour; beat at high speed 2 minutes.

8Stir in enough more flour to make a soft dough.
