  • 2 sticks butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa

Directions

    Mix all ingredients except cocoa and food coloring together. Divide dough into 3 equal parts.

    Add red food coloring to one part and cocoa to another part.

    The third part remains vanilla.

    Layer each color twice in tube pan.

    Do not stir.

    Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours.
