  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. chopped parsley
  • 6 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped or 3 1/2 c. Italian peeled canned tomatoes, drained
  • pinch of sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    In large pan, heat oil.

    Saute garlic and onion until soft and golden, about 10 minutes.

    Add herbs, tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper; stir well.

    Cook about 30 minutes.

    Serve over your favorite pasta.

    Sauce also freezes well.
