Ingredients: 3 tablespoons honey; 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind; 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice; 2 cups fresh blackberries; 2 cups fresh raspberries; 2 cups fresh blueberries; 2 cups sliced peeled peaches; 2 2/3 cups Asti Cinzano or other sweet sparkling wine; 16 amaretti cookies

1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 cups fresh blackberries
2 cups fresh raspberries
2 cups fresh blueberries
2 cups sliced peeled peaches
2 2/3 cups Asti Cinzano or other sweet sparkling wine

Directions

Combine first 3 ingredients in a 2-cup glass measure; microwave at HIGH 1 1/2 minutes or until the mixture boils. Cover and chill.

Combine the blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and peaches in a large bowl. Add the honey mixture, stirring well. Cover and marinate in refrigerator at least 4 hours.

Spoon the fruit mixture into each of 8 bowls, and add the wine. Serve with amaretti cookies.

Note: Sweetened carbonated fruit-flavored bottled water can be substituted for the sweet sparkling wine.
