Ingredients
- 3 to 5 lb. brisket
- 1/3 c. lemon juice
- 1 c. beef consomme
- 1/4 to 1/2 (6 oz.) liquid smoke
- 1 small bottle soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt or powder
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Put brisket in plastic cooking bag.

2Mix all remaining ingredients and pour over meat in bag.

3Close bag tightly and marinate 24 hours, turning several times.

4Leave in bag.

5Make 5 or 6 small slits in bag and cook in 275° oven for 5 to 6 hours. To serve, remove meat from bag and slice trimming excess fat. Skin marinade to remove fat and serve with meat.

6Serves 6 to 8.
