Ingredients
- 1 pound spicy Italian sausage
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 2 16-ounce cans diced tomatoes
- 3 16-ounce cans beef broth
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 16-ounce can white kidney beans
- 1 cup frozen green beans
Directions

1In a stock pot, heat oil. Add sliced sausage and brown. Add onion, garlic, carrots and basil & cook for 8 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients except for white beans. Bring to boil, then cover and simmer for 1 hour.

2Add beans (with liquid) then simmer an additional 20-30 minutes.

3Serve hot with warmed sliced Italian bread.
