- 4 large Idaho potatoes, peeled and cubed
- Salt
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- Freshly ground white pepper
Directions

1Put the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with salted water.

2Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and cook until tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.

3Drain, then return the potatoes to the pot.

4Add the butter and stir and mash until it melts completely.

5Add the milk and stir to mix.
