Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cup mixed vegetables (French beans, carrots, green peas, potatoes), boiled
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp. amchur powder
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 3 tbsp. ghee
  • Salt, to taste
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 6 green chilies
  • 1 oz. ginger

Directions

    Cook the dal separately with 2 teacups of water.

    Heat 1-1/2 tbsp.

    ghee, add the onion and cumin seeds and fry for at least 2 minutes.

    Add the cooked dal, boiled vegetables, amchur powder, tomato, turmeric powder, paste and salt, and boil for a few minutes.

    Just before serving, heat the remaining ghee and the chili powder and pour immediately over the dal mixture.

    Serve hot.
